“A twisted sub-rushing banger guaranteed to fill the floor” is how T&B founder Drop the Lime describes “Fog Bank,” the first release ever from South London scene-stormer Boy 8-Bit. Over the last two years, Mr. 8-Bit (a.k.a. Dave Morris) has turned out some legendary tracks, include his Suspense is Killing Me EP (Mad Decent), plus remixes of Burial, Fake Blood, Florence & The Machine, and Black Ghosts. “Fog Bank” is a tour de force of clever drum programming shot through with classic breaks, eerie synths, and the ghosts of hip-hop’s past. Australia’s Acid Jacks whip it into an evil old-skool warehouse techno ting, while the infamous Jack Beats drive home the release with a nasty bass monster that’s become one of T&B’s most famous remixes.
