OVER CAPTAINATED #1

As some of you may or may not know, I'm a huge caffeine fiend and energy drink connoisseur, as well as a constant traveler. So while traveling, I'm always stopping at deli's, bodega's, gas sations and grocery stores searching for the most random and odd regional energy drinks I can find. So, for my new feature, I'll be telling you about random energy drinks, how they taste, where I got them and the stories surrounding them!

Power Up Energy Drink
I found this one a few years back when Drop The Lime played at Terrace F Club for the first time at Princeton University. Walked into a pizza shop across the street from this Thai Restaurant we ate at and there they were at the bottom of the cooler, dusty and being neglected. Having never seen them before and being a huge Mario and Nintendo fan (nerd), I bought 4 of them, restraining from buying all 10 or 12 they had.

I think I held onto them for a couple months without drinking any until I came across them again at Toy Tokyo in New York City, I bought a couple more as well as a Sonic the Hedgehog, Pac Man and Donkey Kong one (reviews coming soon).

But to my surprise, it's actually really delicious. Very sweet with a berry flavor, similar to Red Bull without having that tartness, that results in everyone thinking all energy drinks taste like Sweet Tarts. The Caffiene effects weren;t as noticable or as strong as most energy drinks, so if you're looking to get wired, not really sure if this is the one for you.

If you're lucky enough to come across Power Up, definitely pick it up!

T&B Miami Music Week Recap!

This year at Miami Music Week, Trouble and Bass had a big presence. We threw a Rockabilly party with Mad Decent, Star Eyes, Flinch, Deathface and Supra 1 all played the SMOG vs. Basshead party, we threw our own party at The Overthrow, Jinder performed with 12th Planet at Ultra, Drop the Lime and AC Slater played a set at the Tower of Ultra, and the rest of our artists graced other parties being thrown around town.

The SMOG vs. Basshead party on Thursday was wild. The line was around the block untill 1am, the rooms were packed, and everyone was dancing, raging, and sweating. Our own, Little Jinder, jumped on stage to perform Youth Blood with 12th Planet and sang her little heart out. Catch Jinder performing live in the recap video featuring songs from Flinch and Little Jinder:

Friday, basically the whole T&B crew was playing shows throughout Miami. From Drop the Lime playing an oldies set at Franki Chan's house party, to Zombies for Money playing a set at Kill Your Idol, the T&B crew were all over the place on Friday night.

Saturday was our highly anticipated T&B x The Overthrow Black Magick party. We hired magicians and tarot card readers, and partied untill 6 in the morning in a castle. We really couldn't have asked for a better turnout.

Our lovely Little Jinder also performed at Ultra! She performed live with 12th Planet singing to the remix of her song Youth Blood:
