OVER CAPTAINATED #7

Sooooo, this is what you get after Star Eyes returns from Thailand, a cool pink bottle of Emo Emonergy Drink. hahha this is really awesome though, especially if you know that I grew up listening to hardcore/emo/indie rock etc etc. such a suiting energy drink gift for me

and this is the face you're supposed to make when drinking it. hahaha Lookin like a emo creep.

It's actually really really sweet, i think it's made for children (could you not tell from the name of the brand?). And is it weird that it's a slight turn on? Basically Emonergy tastes like pink candy grape syrup. I'm not sure if it had much of a caffeine effect or if the amount of sugar in it is supposed to get me buzzed. Either way it's pretty delicious, but not sure if I'd recommend it, not a favorite, but also not disusting, it's the strawberry crush of the energy drink world.

Helloooooo, I've been away, sorry for the lack of Over Captainated posts, I'm sure you were all wondering what I've been drinking. So I'm back and it's summer time so I'm on the hunt for some real refreshing ones! And look at this amazing Sonic the Hedgehog Speed energy drink, so cool.

The Sonic drink is in the same vein as the Mario Bros and Donkey Kong ones, etc etc. and is produced and manufactured all in the same place by Boston America Corp, but if you've kept up with me in the past you'll remember that these were all really delicious and fruity berry flavored and sweet. Basically like drinking candy. And I love candy.

If you're a video game fan or just a regular nerd, then at first glance of finding this I kind of flipped out. I thought this was the coolest thing in the world! So i think i bought like 4.

like a very delicate wine.

I was a little zonked that day, but I love it! Tune in next time, I'll have some stuff a bit more crazy!

I should really just start and stop this one with just that photo of me. hahaha
But, Run Cool! I got this one from buddy AC Slater, who brought it back from Germany. It's an Austrian based energy drink, I can't seem to find a website for it, but it seems to be pretty popular in Poland since a lot of the distributors I keep finding are based in Poland.

I actually drank this and shot these photos a few weeks ago and I have no recollection of how it tasted, but looking at my reaction below, i guess I REALLY liked it. My friend Denman said I should take this blog idea further and write a story of what happens to me after I drink each one. For example, I go run a marathon, or go to Chuck E. Cheese's, get into a fight with a bum, etc. etc. As awesome as that idea is, (which I may try), typically, I'm in front of the computer at the office making sure everything is getting taken care of, or drinking energy drinks and taking photos of myself doing so.

Either way, I like this one and it's funky name and positive message: "100% Positive Energy!" You go cool smiley face guy with sunglasses on!

* Also Big Ups to Ray Bans for hooking me up with those sunglasses and Trouble & Bass for letting me live.

OVER CAPTAINATED #4

Hey Hey, I'm back again this week for Pac-Man Energy Drink (Where's the Ms. Pac-Man Energy drink? that's sexist). I found this one along with the Super Mario Energy Drink and a few others at Toy Tokyo in New York City. So I'm pretty sure it's just one distribution company putting different wrappers on the same drink.

But I'm not going to complain at all, cause the drink used for all these different video game energy drinks is really delicious. And being a big fan of video games as well, the nerd, the sweet tooth and the energy drink connoisseur inside of me are all satisfied!

Goes down real smooth.

Thumbs Up! I love it!

Oh my goodness, look at this delight, Alpen Yod'l! (click on the link for an amazing website intro) Not sure why they shortened the yodel, maybe it was more extreme, but as you can tell from the "mit" and the "bio", this is another 'healthy' German energy drink. Since the website is all in german, I don't have any basic info about the drink to give you. A friend of mine brought this one back from Vienna I believe, and I've been holding onto it for quite some time.

And as you can tell from my face, I'm a bit nervous, my last run in with a german energy drink: Full Speed, didnt go over too well. I'm also not the biggest fan of the healthier kind of energy drinks. I have a huge sweet tooth and typically the healthier caffeine drinks lack sugar or any unhealthy ingredients that make all the drinks I love more delicious.

Yeah that's a little weird. For some reason Alpen Yod'l had the typical citrus type flavor but with a hint of mint. At first it was just kind of odd and then after a few swigs, I couldn't really handle it any further and just put it down. It coudl've been the healthy ingredients that turned me off, or the guarana, (What is guarana any way?), but I couldn't go any further with Alpen Yod'l, I'm sorry crazy elk on the can howling at the sunset beyond the mountains.

Pass!
